
Bengaluru:Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah laid the foundation stone for a new cricket stadium at Indlawadi Village in Anekal taluk, Bengaluru, which is set to become India’s second-largest cricket venue once completed, behind only the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The stadium will have a seating capacity of 80,000 and will be developed across 75 acres at an estimated cost of ₹934 crore, backed by the Karnataka Housing Board. Beyond cricket, the facility is designed as a multi-sport complex with modern training infrastructure across athletic disciplines. Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar was also present at the foundation-laying ceremony.
