Republic Day 2026: Delhi Police on High Alert ! From Snippers, 30,000 Personnel To 30 Control Rooms 

New Delhi : Delhi Police has laid down a multi-layered security arrangement by deploying over 30,000 personnel across the city considering the massive celebration of Republic Day Parade in Delhi held at Kartavya Path. 

In New Delhi district itself, 10,000 police personnel have been stationed involving ceremonial parade routes as well as high-security zones.

In addition to that, the Delhi ACP Devesh Kumar Mahala informed that in order to maintain safety and security, approximately 10,000 police personnel have been deployed in New Delhi areas. All standard operating procedures from briefing checkpoints, barricades, pickets, deployment plans and necessary measures everything has been instructed to all the personnel. 

Moreover, as a part of high security alert the police personnel are also equipped with 3,000 CCTV Cameras well versed with advanced video analytics and FRS i.e Facial recognition System monitored with 30 control rooms which includes 150 personnel. It monitors 24*7 including the parade route as well as its surrounding locations. Similarly, ground police teams are provided with AI- glasses integrated with FRS and video analytics technology. Not just that, even the Mobile surveillance vehicles are deployed at strategic points to ensure rapid response powered with FRS technology.

From barricades, frisking, to anti sabotage checks the Delhi police have left no corner untouched marking the safety and security at core of the event. Teams are destined to drive verification regarding tenant and domestic help as a part of their overall security exercise. Vigilance Teams are scattered in markets, bus terminals, railway and metro stations to maintain the law and order of the city. 

ACP Devesh urged citizens to comply with the security advisories and avoid any prohibited items so as to be corporate with the system.
