VIDEO: Three Lions Sit Quietly Near Khodiar Temple Yajna in Girnar, Leave Only After Rituals End

JUNAGADH: A rare and striking scene unfolded in Gujarat’s Girnar forest on the holy occasion of Vijayadashami, where three lions were spotted near the Khodiar Mata temple during a yajna. The unusual event, captured on video, has since gone viral across social media platforms.

According to Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) Ashish Joshi, the incident occurred at the Khodiyar Mata temple near Padria in the Girnar hills. While priests performed sacred rituals at the yajna kund, three lions arrived and quietly sat nearby, without disturbing the gathering. Eyewitnesses noted that the big cats remained still for the entire duration of the ceremony.

As soon as the rituals concluded and the havan ended, the lions rose on their own and calmly returned into the forest, leaving devotees and priests awestruck.

The karmakandi Brahmins conducting the yajna continued their chants undisturbed, despite the presence of the wild visitors. Many devotees and forest officials present described the moment as a symbol of divine energy and spiritual power, interpreting the lions’ quiet attendance as a gesture of reverence.

The video of this extraordinary encounter has triggered wide discussions online, with many calling it a sacred sign of the bond between nature, faith, and the forest’s majestic inhabitants.
