A video from Ahmedabad’s Sola Civil Hospital has sparked outrage online, showing a female pediatric resident allegedly refusing to treat a child brought in late Sunday night, and confronting the family as they filmed the exchange. The family says they initially found no doctor in the ward; when the resident arrived, an argument began over how a thermometer was being used, escalating when recording started.

In the clip, the doctor is heard refusing care, telling the family to “go wherever you want,” which the patient’s relative says included a reference to the Chief Minister. The family alleges the doctor snatched at the phone and declined to attend to the child until senior staff intervened. The child was subsequently treated after hospital authorities stepped in, according to the family’s account.
Gujarat Health Minister Praful Pansheriya has ordered an immediate inquiry and warned of strict action if misconduct is established. Hospital administrators have constituted a committee to review CCTV, verify statements from both sides, and assess protocol adherence, with the doctor shifted out of patient-facing duty pending findings.
