Surat : Notorious criminal Salman Lassi has been nabbed by the Crime Branch. Lassi launched a deadly attack on a police team who went for arresting Lassi. According to information received from police sources, 15 serious crimes registered against him including murder, attempt to murder, extortion and assault. He was wanted for long time. A muder took palce at Bhestan Bhindi Bazaar wherein He was named as main accused.
The Crime Branch had received specific information that Salman Lassi was hiding in the Ashiana Mohalla of Dabhel village in Navsari. Based on tip, five teams of about 25 officers and employees of the Crime Branch carried out an operation in Dabhel village at 3 AM today. The police team cordoned off Salman Lassi’s hideout. When the team tried to arrest him, Salman Lassi attacked PI Sodha with a paddle to avoid arrest. In response to this sudden attack, PI Sodha immediately opened fire in self-defense.
In this firing, the bullet touched the leg bone of Salman Lassi and went through, due to which he has fractured his leg. The injured Salman Lassi has been shifted to the hospital for immediate treatment, where police security has been deployed. The Crime Branch has taken legal action in this matter and started further investigation.
