Nepal Floods: 12 Gujaratis Untraceable — List of Missing Pilgrims from Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Anand Released

Preliminary official information has revealed that 12 citizens of Gujarat, who had travelled for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and other tourism purposes, are stranded and untraceable following the sudden and devastating floods and landslides that struck the Nepal-Tibet border region. In view of the situation, the Gujarat government has activated a State Control Room in Gandhinagar and has initiated rescue operations in continuous coordination with the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.

Detailed List of 12 Gujarat Citizens Stranded in Nepal

According to information received, the 12 Gujaratis who have lost contact in the flood-affected areas include three from Ahmedabad, three from Surat, two from Vadodara, two from Anand, and one each from Rajkot and Valsad.

Ahmedabad

1. Ashokbhai Dhirajlal Kapadi — Memnagar (last contact: around 8:30 am yesterday)
2. Dineshbhai Pragjibhai Patel — Resident of Nava Vadaj, originally from Amreli (US citizen)
3. Bhavinkumar Rajnikant Raval — Resident of Motera-Koteshwar, originally from Mehsana (Australian citizen — travelling with a group of 26 others)

Anand

1. Bimalkumar Patel — Resident of Vidyanagar Road (US citizen, originally Indian)
2. Jayminaben Patel — Resident of Vidyanagar Road (US citizen, originally Indian)

(Note: Both had travelled to Kailash Mansarovar through the agency ‘Namaste Nepal Trekking and Research Hub’.)

Vadodara

1. Kinnari Patel — Resident of Maninagar (Ahmedabad)
2. Mihir Patel — Resident of Maninagar (Ahmedabad)

(Note: Both had travelled through ‘Richa Tours Pvt. Ltd.’; last contact was at 4:51 am yesterday.)

Surat

1. Pareshbhai Natvarlal Patel — Currently residing in the USA
2. Jyotiben Pareshbhai Patel — Currently residing in the USA
3. Meenakshiben Sanjaybhai Ramani — Currently residing in Mumbai

Rajkot

1. Jay Dinesh Kotecha — Currently residing in Mumbai (father originally from Rajkot). Last contact was made yesterday near the ‘Friendship Bridge/Bhote Koshi River, Rasuwagadhi-Kerung border’.

Valsad

1. Roma Dilipbhai Intwala, Valsad. (According to information provided by the State Emergency Operation Centre, Roma Intwala is currently safe in Nepal.)
