
Ahmedabad: A massive fire broke out at a firecracker factory in Ahmedabad’s Vastral area. 10 fire department vehicles rushed to the site upon receiving information about the blaze. More than five people are feared to have died in the horrific incident, while 15 others are reported to have sustained injuries.
Fierce Fire At Firecracker Factory In Ahmedabad’s Vastral
According to reports, a massive fire broke out at the Mehmudpura Talent firecracker factory on Ramol-Gatrad Road in Ahmedabad’s Vastral area on the afternoon of July 18, 2026. Following the incident, teams including the Asalali Mini Fighter, Gajraj and ambulances reached the spot and launched rescue operations.
Among those seriously injured, five have been admitted to LG Hospital and four to Civil Hospital. The Mayor and Municipal Commissioner reached the site after being informed of the incident. A man named Mehul Dodiya is reported to have been running the factory. A case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been registered in connection with the incident.
