Gir Somnath: Renowned artist Devayat Khavad has once again become the center of attention. An incident surfaced where Devayat Khavad allegedly caused a disturbance in Chitrod village of Gir Somnath district. Now, a significant revelation has come to light in the controversy. According to police, Devayat Khavad’s mask slipped off, and the victim immediately recognized him.
Gir Somnath’s DYSP V.R. Khengar stated that Devayat Khavad and other individuals conducted reconnaissance. They executed a pre-planned conspiracy and carried out an assault. Devayat Khavad and the others had worn masks. Devayat Khavad’s mask came loose, and as a result, Dhruvrajsinh identified him right away. Police have registered a case against Devayat Khavad and 15 others, initiating a search operation. The hunt for the absconding accused is currently underway. Separate police teams have been formed to apprehend the suspects. The Talala PI is leading the investigation in this case.
He further explained that Dhruvrajsinh had organized a ‘Daira’ (folk music event) at his location, where Devayat Khavad was scheduled to perform. Khawad had taken an advance payment of ₹8 lakh but failed to show up for some reason. This led to a prior altercation between them, and Khawad harbored a grudge. When they learned that Dhruvrajsinh had arrived in Sasan, they conducted surveillance and deliberately plotted to attack him. After carrying out the incident, they fled the scene.
