Vadodara : Six people were killed and more than 25 passengers were injured in a collision between a luxury bus and a truck near. The deceased included a nine-year-old child. A bus was going from Baswada in Rajasthan to Surat. When the bus was passing near Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara, the driver of the bus hit a truck standing ahead. Following accident, 6 people died, while 26 people were injured. The truck was loaded with cattle feed. The cabin of the luxury bus was completely mangled.
A traffic jam was created on the road coming from Halol. As soon as the accident was reported, teams from the fire brigade as well as NDRF and SDRF reached the spot and started rescue operations. Regarding the incident, Vadodara Deputy Mayor Aditya Patel said that between 3:30 and 4:30 this morning, a bus going from Rajasthan to Surat rammed into a truck parked near Kotambi Stadium. This is a very serious accident. The police have also reached the spot, and vehicles have arrived to ensure that necessary medical treatment can be provided.
Seriously injured patients and the deceased have been brought to SSG Hospital. Instructions have also been given to start a help desk. Instructions have also been given to start a help desk. NDRF Commandant Surendrasinh said that information about the accident was received in the control room around 4:40 Am. We reached the spot and immediately started operations. With the help of various equipment, we recovered 5 dead bodies. We also rescued more than 25 people.
