Kutiyana Ex-MLA Bhura Munja Jadeja’s Wife Hiralba Jadeja Arrested In Kidnapping And Extortion Case

Porbandar: A serious criminal case has been registered against Hiralba Jadeja, wife of former MLA Bhura Munja Jadeja and aunt of current MLA Kandhal Jadeja, involving charges of kidnapping, extortion, and criminal intimidation. The Harbour Marine Police arrested Hiralba late Tuesday evening after disturbing allegations surfaced through a viral video posted by a woman currently living in Israel.
According to the police complaint filed by Bhanabhai Odedra (64), a resident of Kuchhdi village near Porbandar, Hiralba and her associates broke into his house at night. They allegedly abducted him and other family members, taking them to Hiralba’s bungalow. His son-in-law and grandson were reportedly held captive for 17 days. The intent was to extort Rs 70 lakh that Bhanabhai’s daughter, Lilu Odedra (currently in Israel), had obtained.
The case came to light after Lilu Odedra shared a video on social media, alleging that her family members were being held hostage and that she was being forced to transfer money. This prompted the police to launch an investigation, which eventually led to the arrest of Hiralba Jadeja.
The complaint details how Hiralba, along with Hitesh and Vijay Odedra and four to five unidentified individuals, pressured Bhanabhai’s family to hand over property, land, gold jewelry, and cash. During their captivity, the accused allegedly coerced the victims to sign 11 blank cheques and made threatening video calls to Lilu in Israel, demanding money.
Based on Bhanabhai Odedra’s complaint, police filed an FIR against Hiralba Jadeja, resident of Suraj Palace, Porbandar; Hitesh Bhimabhai Odedra and Vijay Bhimabhai Odedra, both residents near Khapat Road, Porbandar; and 4–5 unidentified accomplices.
The charges include kidnapping, unlawful confinement, extortion, criminal intimidation, and forced signing of blank cheques. Police are continuing their investigation and more arrests may follow.
