Gujarat Weather Today: The cold wave that gripped several parts of Gujarat over the past two to three days is now receding. Since yesterday, temperatures have begun to rise slightly, and the chill has noticeably softened. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), similar weather conditions are expected to continue over the next seven days. This means that ahead of Uttarayan on January 14, the state is unlikely to witness intense cold.
IMD Forecast for the Week
Over the last 24 hours, Gujarat recorded no significant change in minimum temperatures. However, parts of Saurashtra registered slightly lower-than-normal minimum temperatures, while most other regions recorded temperatures close to the seasonal average.
The IMD has predicted no major fluctuation in minimum temperatures across Gujarat for the next week. As a result, harsh winter conditions during Uttarayan appear unlikely.
Ahmedabad Temperature Today
For Ahmedabad, the IMD has forecast mainly clear skies. The minimum temperature is expected to hover around 15°C today. On the previous day, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 26.5°C, which is 1.4°C below normal, while the minimum temperature of 14.4°C was 2.1°C above normal.
Alongside Gujarat, many parts of India are experiencing varied winter patterns:
- North India: Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh continue to see shallow to moderate fog in the morning hours. Minimum temperatures in these regions range between 7°C and 11°C, with IMD forecasting no significant cold wave conditions for the next few days.
- Rajasthan: Cities like Jaipur, Kota, and Ajmer are witnessing minimum temperatures around 10–12°C, with mild winter conditions and mostly clear skies.
- Madhya Pradesh: Minimum temperatures remain between 9°C and 13°C, with no major drops expected this week.
- Maharashtra: Pune and Nashik continue to record slightly lower night temperatures around 12–14°C, while Mumbai stays warm at 18–20°C minimum and 29–31°C maximum.
- South India: Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh are seeing stable temperatures with minimums between 18°C and 23°C and clear weather across most regions.
