Gujarat Police Shake-Up: DGP Orders Transfer of 118 PSIs, 10 Days After IPS Reshuffle

Ahmedabad: In Gujarat, the DGP’s office has ordered the transfer of 118 Police Sub-Inspectors (unarmed), directing them to be relieved immediately and report at their new postings without delay. The sudden reshuffle has caused a stir within the police ranks and prompted widespread discussion.

Earlier, on August 18, the Home Department issued promotion and transfer orders for IPS/SPS officers, affecting 105 officers across the state. Ten days after that exercise, the DGP has now issued orders for the transfer of 118 PSIs.
