Gujarat Heatwave Alert: Temperatures to Rise 2–3°C, Coastal Areas Brace for Humid Conditions from April 11

Ahmedabad: Even as Gujarat experiences unseasonal rainfall during peak summer, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a significant rise in temperatures across the state in the coming days.

According to IMD, mercury levels are expected to climb by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next few days. From April 11 to April 14, weather conditions across the state will turn entirely dry. Coastal regions will bear the brunt of hot and moisture-laden winds, making residents in these areas particularly vulnerable to intense heat and suffocating humidity.

The IMD also noted that three cyclonic circulations are presently active in the atmosphere. However, wind speeds are expected to remain normal for now, offering some relief amid the rising heat.
