Ahmedabad: Just hours before the much-anticipated IPL 2025 final between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), a gas cylinder blast occurred outside the Narendra Modi Stadium, the match venue in Ahmedabad, triggering panic in the area.
Thankfully, no injuries or casualties were reported, as the incident occurred well before the arrival of large crowds, expected later in the afternoon. Authorities noted that had the blast occurred during peak match hours, the consequences could have been far more severe.
The final match, expected to draw thousands of spectators and numerous dignitaries from India and abroad, remains scheduled as planned.
Traffic Restrictions in Place:
Due to the high-profile nature of the event, traffic around the stadium will be restricted from 2 PM to midnight. Alternate routes have been arranged to ensure smooth movement in surrounding areas.
