“To manage heavy festive travel during Diwali and Chhath Puja, Western Railway has announced unreserved ‘Puja Special’ trains from Udhna and Valsad to multiple cities in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. These services will run between October 14 and 29 to provide affordable, convenient options for passengers.
Trains to operate:
- Udhna–Bhagalpur Unreserved Special (09081/09082): 14 trips from October 14 to 27; daily departure from Udhna at 11:15 AM. Each rake will have 20 coaches.
- Udhna–Samastipur Unreserved Special (09091/09092): Runs from October 14 to 27; departure from Udhna at 10:00 PM. 20-coach composition.
- Valsad–Barauni Unreserved Special: Also scheduled during this window; details as per Western Railway notifications.
Temporary halt on parcel bookings at Udhna:
To ensure passenger safety and prevent platform congestion, the Railways has temporarily suspended parcel booking and handling at Udhna station from October 15 to 31. The restriction applies to trains originating, terminating, or handling parcel loading/unloading at Udhna. Leased parcel traffic is exempt from this ban.
