Ahmedabad: Another shooting incident has been reported in the Thaltej area of Ahmedabad. According to available information, a youth named Maulik Thakkar allegedly fired three rounds from a revolver at his brother-in-law, Sudhir Thakkar. Two of the bullets struck Sudhir directly, causing serious injuries. The critically injured Sudhir was immediately moved to a hospital for treatment. The police have initiated an investigation and taken action regarding the entire matter.
Sudhir Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Two Bullets
During the shooting, one bullet hit the window of Sudhir’s car, shattering the glass. Regarding the incident, it is reported that Maulik Thakkar frequently quarreled with his wife. Because of this, his wife had informed her brother, Sudhir. An argument initially broke out between Sudhir, who had arrived to pick up his sister, and Maulik, and the situation then escalated further. The enraged brother-in-law, Maulik, took out a revolver and fired at Sudhir. As the incident occurred, people from the surrounding area gathered, and brother-in-law Sudhir was moved to the hospital for treatment. No information about his current health condition has been provided yet.
Action Initiated to Swiftly Apprehend the Accused
In this case, the Bodakdev Police have registered an offence against Maulik Thakkar and another youth named Jitu Thakkar under various sections of the IPC, including attempt to murder, and the Arms Act. The police have collected evidence from the crime scene and, based on surrounding CCTV footage, have begun operations to swiftly apprehend the accused. This event has created an atmosphere of tension in the Thaltej area.
