The Gujarat government has taken a significant decision for employees of the State Road Transport Corporation (ST). Officials confirmed that the dearness allowance (DA) for ST employees has been increased by 2 percent. With this revision, workers will now receive 55 percent DA.
Along with the hike, the government has also approved the payment of arrears, further boosting employee morale. According to state authorities, this move will directly benefit over 30,000 ST employees, with the total financial outlay expected to exceed ₹30 crore.
The decision is being seen as a major financial relief measure for ST staff, many of whom have welcomed the government’s announcement. Detailed guidelines on implementation and disbursement are expected to be released soon.
