Ahmedabad: A brutal murder took place near Kankaria Football Ground in Maninagar area of Ahmedabad on the night of January 14. Several individuals killed a youth in a deadly attack while settling scores from an earlier dispute, causing a major commotion in the area. As soon as information about the incident was received, teams from Kagdapith and Maninagar police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the entire area, launching operations to apprehend the accused.
WHAT IS THE ENTIRE CASE ABOUT
In this matter, 23-year-old Rahul Rathod, a resident of Amraiwadi, has filed a police complaint. Rahul has lodged a complaint regarding the murder of his younger brother Chirag against Manthan alias Rutvik Parmar along with Jaydip Shah, Harshil Shah and Vijay alias V.P. Parmar. These individuals attacked Chirag after calling him on the pretext of settling the matter.
The deadly attack took place around 9.45 pm on Uttarayan night. Accused Manthan and his friends had hatched a pre-planned conspiracy. Holding a grudge from a previous dispute, Manthan called Chirag Rathod and his friend Nayan to Kankaria Football Ground to settle the matter.
As soon as Chirag and Nayan reached there, the accused started talking and quarrelling with them. The matter escalated quickly and all four individuals together started beating Chirag with sticks. During this, an enraged Manthan pulled out a knife and stabbed Chirag in the right side of his body, inflicting deep wounds from top to bottom. Seriously injured Chirag died on the spot. Friends including Nayan and Gaurang Makwana were present as witnesses to this entire incident. Currently, police have registered a murder case and launched a search for the absconding accused.
