13 Year Old Girl Repeatedly Raped By 51 Year Old Neighbour In Aravalli, Pregnancy Leads To Arrest

Aravalli (Gujarat): A 51-year-old man has been arrested in Meghraj, a town in Gujarat’s Aravalli district, for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl from his neighbourhood multiple times. The crime came to light after the minor was found to be three months pregnant during a medical examination.

According to police, the accused targeted the girl when she visited his house to play. He allegedly assaulted her on several occasions, taking advantage of times when his wife was not at home. Officials stated that the man lured the minor with false promises and used the opportunity to exploit her repeatedly.

The incident surfaced when the girl began experiencing health issues and eventually informed her mother. Concerned, the mother took her for a medical check-up, which revealed that the girl was pregnant. Shocked by the discovery, the family immediately contacted the police.

Based on the girl’s statement and medical evidence, a case was filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, along with relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Police acted swiftly and arrested the accused within 24 hours. He is currently in custody and undergoing further legal and medical procedures.

The minor is receiving medical care, and further investigation is underway. The case has sparked outrage in the local community, with calls for strict punishment for the accused.
