Salman Khan’s Battle Of Galwan Released First Song ‘Maatrubhumi’ With Voices Of Arijit Singh And Shreya Ghoshal Ahead Of Republic Day

The first song from Salman Khan’s upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan has been released. Titled Maatrubhumi, the patriotic track was unveiled by the makers on January 24, just days ahead of Republic Day 2026. The song features vocals by Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, and Master Mani Dharamkot.

The music for Maatrubhumi has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya, with lyrics penned by Sameer Anjaan. The arrangement and production have been handled by Meghdeep Bose. The track was shared on YouTube with a description that read, “Maatrubhumi from Battle of Galwan is a tribute to the nation and to everyone who puts the country before themselves. With music composed by Himesh Reshammiya and vocals by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, Maatrubhumi carries the weight of the story it represents.”

The song’s video features Salman Khan portraying Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu and intercuts scenes of family moments with intense battlefield visuals. It opens with a trumpet call before transitioning into sequences showing soldiers saluting, prayers being offered, and preparations underway for a confrontation with the enemy.

Following its release, the song received a strong response from fans, who took to the comment section to praise both the track and the actor. While one user described it as an “Amazing song,” another wrote, “Salman Khan + Arijit Singh = blockbuster.” Another comment highlighting the combined fanbase of Khan and Singh read, “Salman X arijit X best story, 1000 cr material.”

Battle of Galwan is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Salman Khan and Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films. The war drama is based on the real-life 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The film focuses on bravery and sacrifice, with Salman Khan playing Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, who was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra. The teaser of Battle of Galwan was released on Salman Khan’s 60th birthday on December 27, 2025. The film is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026.
