Ranveer’s Versatility Outgrows Into A Record-Breaking Canon Event

It would not be an exaggeration to state that Ranveer Singh is one of the most talked-about stars of late. But what makes his buzz so effective? Several factors contribute to his current success and his enduring appeal to the audience. Recently, he was credited as the first Indian male actor in a leading role to cross the ₹3,700 crore milestone globally in the post-pandemic era. This record did not happen overnight; instead, it is the evolution of years of yearning and practice.

Ranveer constantly surprises audiences with the roles he plays. With no direct lineage to the film industry, he is considered a truly “self-made” star. From the ferocious madman in Padmaavat to a conflicted street rapper in Gully Boy, Singh has repeatedly astonished people with his precise transformations, leading to the discovery of an unexplored side of his artistry.

His co-actors deeply enjoy his company, often noting how his presence creates a cohesive sense of belonging on set. Shefali Shah, who worked with Ranveer in Dil Dhadakne Do, was so impressed by his personality that she recently called him “pure heart and sheer madness” in a social media post. Even when scripts faltered, his performances remained intact. While films like 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Cirkus may not have set the box office on fire, Ranveer’s artistry was praised even in those failures. It is his deep understanding of the audience’s pulse that makes him such a relatable figure.

This record came to light during the post-pandemic phase, a journey that began with 83, which grossed ₹184.36 crores globally. While Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus stumbled financially, Singh’s dedication was never questioned. The remarkable box office shift came with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which earned ₹348.89 crores worldwide. Then came Dhurandhar, storming the box office with ₹1,354.84 crores, while its second installment pushed the numbers even further, exploding with ₹1,833.56 crores globally within just 55 days of its release.

With the sheer range of films under his belt, he has become more than just a well-known celebrity; he is a full-fledged artist who prioritizes longevity over being pigeonholed into stereotypes.

Following the massive success of the Dhurandhar franchise, Ranveer is expected to shine even brighter in his upcoming projects. With ₹3,785.35 crores already accumulated through six post-pandemic releases, Ranveer Singh stands on the brink of yet another historic milestone: the ₹4,000 crore mark.
