Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh visited the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru on Thursday, complying with a Karnataka High Court directive issued after he faced legal scrutiny for mimicking an impression from the Kannada film Kantara at a public event.
The temple visit came a day after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) initiated non-cooperation proceedings against Singh over his abrupt exit from Don 3 three weeks before principal photography was scheduled to begin. Producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani had filed an official complaint with the guild, citing pre-production losses of Rs 45 crore.
The High Court had directed Singh to visit the Chamundeshwari Temple within a four-week window, despite the actor having already issued a public apology when the Kantara controversy first surfaced.
