Pregnant Deepika Padukone Shoots Intense Action Scenes For Allu Arjun’s “Raaka”

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who recently announced her second pregnancy with husband Ranveer Singh, is reportedly filming demanding action scenes for her upcoming sci-fi action drama Raaka opposite Allu Arjun. According to a Hindustan Times report, the actress is committed to her shooting schedules and plans to continue working on the film throughout her pregnancy, with all necessary precautions in place.
Deepika and Ranveer surprised fans on Sunday by sharing the happy news of their second child via an Instagram post. The image featured their daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test kit, with Deepika captioning it simply with a nazar amulet emoji. The announcement received warm congratulations from several Bollywood colleagues, including Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and new mother Sonam Kapoor.
The Hindustan Times report, citing a source close to the actress, stated that Deepika is currently shooting intense action sequences for Raaka while taking every safety measure on set. Both Raaka and her other project, King opposite Shah Rukh Khan, have fixed release dates and tight production timelines, which the actress is determined to honour.
Raaka, a sci-fi action drama directed by Atlee and produced by Sun Pictures, marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and the director. The project was officially announced on Allu Arjun’s 43rd birthday in April, with the first look and title unveiled earlier this month. According to a Pinkvilla report, Allu Arjun is set to earn around ₹175 crore for the film along with a 15% backend profit share, while Atlee will be paid ₹100 crore. The overall budget of the movie is reportedly ₹800 crore, including ₹200 crore for production and ₹250 crore allocated for VFX.
Meanwhile, King, co-written and directed by Siddharth Anand, also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, and Rani Mukerji. The film is slated for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
