PM Modi Blesses ‘Virosh’: Pens Heartfelt Note Ahead Of Rashmika And Vijay’s Wedding

New Delhi : In a significant gesture ahead of one of the year’s most anticipated celebrity weddings, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his official congratulations and blessings to actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. The couple, affectionately dubbed “Virosh” by their global fan base, is scheduled to exchange vows on February 26, 2026, at the luxurious Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur.
According to a report, the Prime Minister responded to an invitation sent by Vijay’s parents, Madhavi and Goverdhan Rao Deverakonda. In his formal letter, PM Modi expressed his delight at the invitation and offered his “heartiest congratulations” to both the Deverakonda and Mandanna families.

Reflecting on the sacred nature of the union, the Prime Minister noted that the marriage marks the commencement of a “new, beautiful chapter.” He invoked the spiritual essence of sakha saptpada bhava , the tradition of taking seven steps together emphasizing that the couple would now become “friends for life.”
The Prime Minister also drew a poetic parallel to the couple’s professional careers. While both actors are seasoned in performing cinematic scripts, PM Modi remarked that this “divinely scripted chapter” of their personal lives would likely “outshine the magic” they have previously delivered on the silver screen. He concluded his message by wishing the pair a lifetime of shared dreams, mutual growth, and the strength to navigate life as true partners.
The wedding festivities, which began on February 24 with a sangeet ceremony, continued today with haldi and mehndi rituals. Sources informed that the event remains an intimate affair, attended by close family and select friends, including director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The ceremony is expected to honor both Telugu and Kodava cultural traditions, reflecting the heritage of the bride and groom.
