Jana Nayagan Box Office Update: Day 13 Collections Hold Steady, Global Total Breaches ₹300 Crore

Thalapathy Vijay’s political action drama Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth, continued its theatrical journey on Day 13 with expected weekday softness but still delivered a solid performance. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film collected ₹2.10 crore (India net) on its second Tuesday from 3,967 shows, marking a 45.5% drop from Monday’s ₹3.85 crore.

Despite the decline, Jana Nayagan crossed a major milestone. Its India net total reached ₹181.55 crore, while India gross stood at approximately ₹211.74–₹214 crore. Overseas markets contributed another ₹75 lakh, pushing the international total to ₹92 crore. This took the film’s worldwide gross past the ₹300 crore mark, with estimates ranging between ₹303.74 crore and ₹306.24 crore after 13 days.

The Tamil version remained the primary driver, earning ₹1.80 crore net with around 21% occupancy. The Hindi version added ₹28 lakh, while the Telugu version contributed a modest ₹2 lakh. Tamil Nadu led the domestic gross with ₹1.76 crore on the day, followed by smaller contributions from Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh-Telangana, and the rest of India.

Released on July 23, 2026, Jana Nayagan had opened strongly with ₹42.70 crore on Day 1 and closed its first week at ₹153.55 crore India net. The second weekend provided a boost before the mid-week slowdown set in. Industry observers note that the film is holding reasonably well for a mid-week day in its second week and is currently among the top-grossing Tamil films of 2026.

As Vijay’s final film before focusing fully on politics, Jana Nayagan continues to draw audiences, particularly in Tamil Nadu. Trade analysts will now watch whether it can sustain momentum into the third week and challenge higher lifetime targets.
