Aryan Khan Faces Legal Backlash Over Alleged Obscene Gesture at Bengaluru Nightspot Event

A formal complaint has been lodged against Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, accusing him of directing an obscene middle-finger gesture at attendees during a promotional gathering at a Bengaluru nightclub on November 28. Footage of the moment, which quickly spread across social platforms, ignited widespread public criticism and led to swift intervention from authorities.

According to reports from ANI, the grievance was submitted by advocate Owaiz Hussain S, a Sankey Road resident, addressed to the Director General of Police, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, DCP (Central Division), Inspector of Cubbon Park Police Station, and the Karnataka State Women’s Commission. Hussain demanded the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) against Aryan Khan, citing the gesture as an act of indecency committed in a public setting.

In the detailed submission, Hussain highlighted the presence of multiple women at the event, asserting that the action amounted to a direct affront to their dignity under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He described the behavior as generating widespread unease, humiliation, and psychological strain among onlookers, while also tarnishing Bengaluru’s reputation as a secure and respectful urban hub.

The advocate structured his allegations into three core charges: the deliberate execution of a degrading and lewd motion in front of female spectators; the performance of indecent conduct openly, poised to provoke irritation or harm; and actions that risked inciting communal unrest or panic, bolstered by the clip’s rapid dissemination and the resulting furor. He specified that the episode unfolded within the oversight of the Ashok Nagar police station.

On the law enforcement side, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Division) Hakay Akshay Machhindra revealed that officers had proactively launched an inquiry following alerts from online buzz. Teams have secured surveillance recordings from the venue to authenticate the claims, with the probe proceeding under Section 173 B of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Professionally, Aryan Khan recently stepped into the director’s chair for the project Ba*ds of Bollywood, marking a notable shift in his career trajectory amid this unfolding scrutiny.
