Shaheen Bhatt, sister of actress Alia Bhatt, has announced her engagement to her longtime partner, Ishaan Mehra. The happy news was shared by Shaheen herself on Instagram on Friday, April 17, 2026, just ahead of Ishaan’s birthday, according to the Entertainment Web Desk of Telegraph India.
Shaheen posted a series of intimate photographs from the occasion. In the first image, she is seen beaming with joy while showing off her sparkling engagement ring in a selfie with Ishaan. The remaining photos capture the couple spending quality time together during what appears to be a relaxing day out in an overseas destination.
Accompanying the pictures, Shaheen wrote a playful caption: “We may have overdone this whole liking each other thing.”
The announcement quickly drew warm responses from family and friends in the film industry. Alia Bhatt commented on the post, saying, “Spamming you with my love,” and added several heart emojis. Shaheen Bhatt is known as an author, having penned the book *I’ve Never Been (Un)Happier*, where she openly discussed her long battle with depression since the age of 11. She is also collaborating with sister Alia Bhatt as a producer on an upcoming Prime Video film titled *Don’t Be Shy*.
