Gujarat Government Reshuffles 18 IAS Officers Across Key Departments

Ahmedabad: In a significant administrative overhaul, the Gujarat government has announced the transfer of 18 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, introducing major changes across various departments and districts. Among the notable reshuffles, D.D. Jadeja has been appointed as Mission Director of the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, while N.V. Upadhyay will take over as Collector of Gir-Somnath.

Here’s a summary of the major appointments:

D.D. Jadeja, formerly Collector of Gir-Somnath, will now head the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission in Gandhinagar under the Science & Technology Department.

N.V. Upadhyay, previously Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Gandhinagar, replaces Jadeja as the new Collector of Gir-Somnath.

Nitin V. Sangwan moves from his role as District Development Officer (DDO) in Junagadh to become Director of Employment & Training, Gandhinagar.

C.C. Kotak, earlier Deputy Director at SPIPA’s Mehsana center, has been promoted to Deputy Director General at SPIPA, Ahmedabad.

V.I. Patel transitions from the Gujarat Public Service Commission to serve as Additional Commissioner and Ex-officio CEO of the Gujarat Municipal Finance Board.

P.A. Ninama joins the Women & Child Development Department as Director (Women Welfare) and MD of the Gujarat Women Economic Development Corporation.

B.M. Patel leaves DRDA Dahod to become Regional Commissioner of Municipalities in Gandhinagar.

J.K. Jadav, former Director of DRDA Narmada, is now Executive Director of GSTDREIS, replacing Supreet Singh Gulati.

R.V. Vala takes charge as Additional Development Commissioner in Gandhinagar.

N.F. Chaudhari moves from Junagadh to lead Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. as Managing Director.

H.P. Patel becomes the new District Development Officer of Junagadh.

D.K. Brahmbhatt has been appointed MD of Gujarat Medical Services Corporation Ltd., Gandhinagar.

M.P. Pandya becomes Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Gandhinagar.

K.P. Joshi will now serve as MD of Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., Rajkot.

Kavita Rakesh Shah has been named Director of IT and E-Governance under the Science & Technology Department.

B.D. Davera takes over as CEO of the Vadodara Urban Development Authority.

S.K. Patel becomes MD of the Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Ltd.

Preeti Sharma, previously handling PGVCL, Rajkot, has been reassigned as Director (Administration) at Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL), Vadodara.
