India Blocks Pakistan Government’s X Account After Pahalgam Terror Attack

New Delhi: Amid escalating tensions following the deadly terrorist assault in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, India has withheld access to the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Government of Pakistan within its borders.

The social media restriction was implemented shortly after New Delhi announced a series of stern actions in response to the attack, including the indefinite suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty a long standing agreement between the two nations.

The suspension of Pakistan’s digital presence on X in India marks another flashpoint in bilateral relations, already strained over cross-border terrorism and diplomatic hostilities.
