The G7 Summit was a conglomerate of seven leaders of the world- United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Germany and Italy along with invited partner nations to discuss the ongoing global challenges.
The summit focused on geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and Ukraine, global economic stability, energy security, artificial intelligence, climate action and supply-chain resilience.
During the summit Zelensky asked for military, financial and diplomatic support amid ongoing tensions with Russia.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of imposing stricter sanctions on Russia, maintaining air-defence support, and keeping up international pressure to achieve a fair and durable peace. He cautioned against scaling back assistance to Kyiv, saying Moscow could take advantage of any indication of weakening Western commitment, and urged stronger international cooperation to safeguard both regional and global security.
