New Delhi : Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra stoked a fresh controversy on Thursday after she publicly disclosed the alleged location and movements of two senior BJP leaders in Kolkata and coupled it with a warning that even the party president won’t be able to save them here.
Moitra released a picture that appeared more like a “hit list”, featuring BJP leaders Saurabh Singh and Professor Swadesh Singh. Newly inducted BJP leader and tennis legend Leander Paes, who was born in Kolkata, is also seen in the image. The two leaders were circled in red, with “S+S” prominently marked on the image. The ‘S+S’ is likely the names of the two leaders. The Krishnanagar MP suggested that Saurabh Singh, a former BJP MLA from Chhattisgarh, was engaged in “distribution” activities in Bengal to influence the voters.
This is Bengal – Nitin Nabin won’t be able to save you here,” Moitra tweeted. Nabin is the BJP national president. This was the second such warning by Moitra. In a previous post, she alleged that that the leaders were sent by the BJP leadership to distribute cash and engage in extortion activities. What exactly are Swadesh Singh, professor Satyavati College, and Saurabh Singh doing in Bengal? Calling up people for vasooli and distributing cash in the name of BJP president Nitin Nabin,” Moitra said.
