Shivaji Satam Breaks Silence On Character ACP Pradyuman’s Death In Popular Show CID

CID is a show that is known and enjoyed by everyone. It was one of the shows that brought the crime-thriller and detective genre to Indian television. Fans were elated when the show made its return in 2024. However, another news related to the show is making rounds on the internet. Apparently, the character of ACP Pradyuman, played by actor Shivaji Satam, will die in the show. According to media reports, Shivaji will exit the show after his character becomes victim to a bomb blast attack.

Sources state that ACP Pradyuman, one of the pivotal characters of the show, will be seen dying in the upcoming episodes. The episode has been shot and will go on air soon.

On the other hand, Shivaji Satam, who had been playing the role for 22 years in the earlier season, has broken his silence on the news. He said that he does not have any clue about it. He has taken a break for some time and the makers know what lies ahead in the show. He mentioned that he is okay if his track is over. However, he has not been informed that his track is over or not.

He also said that he is not shooting for the show as of now. He is planning to go on a holiday in May, as his son who lives abroad is coming to India. He expressed his gratitude to the show and said that the show has given him a lot. He enjoyed playing ACP and it has been a great journey. The 72-year-old actor is taking a break as of now.

It is also being said that due to the show’s low TRP and declining viewership, the makers decided to show the death of the character, paving the way for Shivaji Satam’s exit. Other sources claim that a new character will be added to the show. Meanwhile, it is speculated that Parth Samthaan is also going to join the show.

The iconic show CID originally went on air in 1998, running successfully for 20 years. The show marked its return on December 21, 2024 on public demand, bringing back the popular characters of Abhijeet, Daya, and ACP Pradyuman.
