West Bengal Supplementary Voter List 2026: How To Check Name Online

Dhaka: In a crucial step toward the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, the Election Commission (EC) published the first supplementary voter list on the night of March 23, 2026. As reported by ABP Ananda and other news agencies, this list follows the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, which placed approximately 60 lakh voters in an “under adjudication” category due to logical discrepancies in their records.

According to West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal, nearly 29 lakh cases have been adjudicated by judicial officers appointed under the direction of the Supreme Court. The supplementary list, which was made available on the official CEO West Bengal and ECI portals shortly before midnight, clarifies the status of these electors. While many have had their voting rights restored, others have been officially moved to a deletion list.

For voters seeking to verify their status, the EC has provided several digital avenues. Citizens can visit ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in, select the “SIR 2026” section, and download the supplementary PDF for their specific booth. Alternatively, the ECINET mobile application allows users to check their names using their EPIC (Voter ID) number. Those without internet access are encouraged to contact their local Booth Level Officers (BLO), who have been provided with physical copies of the updated rolls.

As noted by media reports, those whose names remain excluded have the right to appeal. The state has established 19 appellate tribunals across 23 districts, staffed by former High Court judges, to hear these grievances. With the first phase of polling scheduled for April 23, the publication of this list marks a high-stakes moment for millions of residents eager to participate in the democratic process.
