HYBE Launches India Auditions After BTS Comeback

Mumbai: Just days after BTS made a high-profile comeback with their latest album Arirang, the South Korean entertainment powerhouse HYBE has turned its attention to India, rolling out open auditions to scout fresh musical talent from the country.
HYBE INDIA officially announced the launch of the HYBE INDIA Audition, signalling the company’s formal foray into India’s vibrant talent pool as part of its broader global artist discovery drive.
According to a spokesperson from HYBE INDIA, the initiative aligns with the company’s successful ‘multi-home, multi-genre’ strategy, which will be adapted to suit the Indian market through localised artist development.
“The HYBE INDIA Audition aims to identify aspiring music talent from India and the Indian diaspora. It will offer a rare opportunity to selected applicants to enter the company’s world-class training and production ecosystem. The program is designed to nurture artists who can represent India on the global stage,” the spokesperson stated.

HYBE, known for managing major K-pop acts such as SEVENTEEN and ENHYPEN, as well as the global girl group KATSEYE, established its Indian subsidiary in Mumbai in November 2025. The primary goal is to transform promising Indian voices into internationally recognised stories.
The auditions will be held in both online and offline formats. In-person sessions are scheduled in major cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.
The spokesperson further emphasised that the effort stems from a strong belief in the potential of Indian youth. “At its core, this effort reflects the belief in the dynamic potential of Indian youth, with a vision to shape the next generation of Indian music and entertainment—blending authentic local talent with global expertise. It is part of a larger vision to empower aspiring artists from across the world toward global excellence.”
The development comes amid growing excitement among Indian BTS fans, who have been speculating about a possible India tour by the group. In December last year, fans received their first official BTS-related experience when Jungkook’s GOLDEN: The Moments exhibition was hosted in Mumbai.
With this move, HYBE appears keen to tap into India’s rich musical heritage and youthful energy, potentially creating a new wave of globally successful artists rooted in Indian talent.
