Ajith Kumar Returns To Chennai After Weeks Stranded In Dubai Amid Middle East Conflict

Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar has safely returned to India after being stranded in Dubai for weeks following escalating tensions across the Middle East, triggered by a joint US-Israel attack on Iran.
The actor arrived in Chennai on March 10, though no official statement has been issued by his team. A video of Ajith arriving at Chennai International Airport has since gone viral on social media, surfacing on his fan page on X. In the clip, the Good Bad Ugly actor is seen hurriedly loading his luggage into a waiting vehicle, bypassing paparazzi and fans gathered at the airport. His return has come as a relief to his millions of followers, who had been closely tracking his situation.

Ajith’s troubles began when all flights out of Dubai were abruptly suspended amid the regional crisis. He had originally been scheduled to return to India on February 28, but was forced back from the airport due to sudden flight cancellations, according to Deccan Herald. On March 1, his manager confirmed to Zoom that the actor was safe but unable to travel. “He was supposed to leave yesterday, but had to return from the airport. He is now safe in Dubai,” the manager had said at the time.

Ajith was among several Indian celebrities caught in Dubai when the situation deteriorated. The actor has been spending considerable time in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in recent months, training for racing events as part of his growing focus on motorsport alongside his film career.
The crisis in the region began in February when the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran, resulting in the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran carried out strikes on multiple US military bases across the Middle East, including locations in Dubai, Qatar, Iraq, and Bahrain.
