Mumbai residents should prepare for another week of high temperatures combined with oppressive humidity, though moderate sea breezes and periods of cloud cover may provide some evening relief toward the weekend.
According to AccuWeather forecasts, daytime highs will generally range between 34°C and 36°C over the next seven days. The peak maximum temperature is likely to reach 36°C, while relatively milder days could hover closer to 34°C. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a green alert, signaling no major weather hazards despite the uncomfortable sticky conditions driven by elevated humidity levels.
The week begins on Monday, May 11, with a maximum around 35°C under mostly clear skies. High humidity will make the heat feel more intense than the actual readings, with warm nights offering little relief from the discomfort.
On Tuesday, May 12, temperatures are expected to climb to about 36°C. Strong sunshine during the afternoon will dominate, particularly affecting the western suburbs where humidity levels could heighten the oppressive feel.
A slight improvement may arrive on Wednesday, May 13, with a maximum near 35°C. Intermittent cloud cover and hazy sunshine could temper the afternoon heat somewhat, although humidity will persist throughout the day.
Thursday, May 14, will see another warm day with highs around 35°C. However, stronger sea breezes in the evening are forecast to bring welcome comfort for those traveling or spending time outdoors after sunset.
Cloudy spells could return on Friday, May 15, helping to ease daytime temperatures slightly to around 34°C. Morning and late-night hours are still likely to remain quite humid.
Conditions may feel marginally more tolerable on Saturday, May 16, with a maximum of about 34°C. Intermittent clouds and improved ventilation near coastal areas could make the day less harsh compared to earlier in the week.

The week concludes on Sunday, May 17, with temperatures around 35°C under partly sunny skies. Humid afternoons will continue, but overall weather is expected to remain stable under the prevailing green alert from the IMD.
While no severe events are anticipated, the combination of heat and humidity calls for caution, especially among vulnerable groups. Mumbai’s typical pre-monsoon pattern continues, with the possibility of breezier evenings serving as the primary source of relief in the coming days.
