Teen Abducted and Assaulted in Ghaziabad Graveyard, Suspects at Large

In a harrowing incident in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by two men and raped in a graveyard, authorities reported. The assault took place on Monday afternoon in the Niwari area of Modinagar, roughly 30 miles northeast of New Delhi, according to police statements released on Wednesday.
The suspects, identified as Israel and Ashraf, remain on the run following the crime. Police investigations revealed that one of the men, known to the victim, lured her to a meeting spot near a water tank. There, he and his accomplice forcibly took her to a nearby graveyard on a motorcycle, said DCP (Rural) Surendra Nath Tiwari.
Once at the isolated location, one of the men raped the girl while the other stood guard, police stated. When she cried out for help, the assailants muffled her screams with a cloth and physically assaulted her, Tiwari added. The traumatized teenager later recounted the horrific experience to her parents, who immediately accompanied her to Niwari Police Station to file a complaint.
Authorities have since registered a case against Israel and Ashraf. The victim underwent a medical examination, and her statement was formally recorded before a magistrate, the DCP confirmed. According to the sources police are actively pursuing the suspects, though no arrests have been made as of Wednesday.
The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with officials emphasizing the severity of the crime as investigations continue.
