Bigg Boss 19: Report Says Pahalgam Attack Victim’s Wife Himanshi Narwal May Join; No Official Word Yet

New Delhi: Ahead of its August 24 premiere, Bigg Boss Season 19 is fueling speculation over its contestant lineup, with reports now suggesting the makers are considering Himanshi Narwal the widow of Navy officer Lt. Vinay Narwal, killed in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, and a former college mate of Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav.

According to Telly Chakkar’s Instagram update, discussions are underway to bring Himanshi on board to build instant audience connect, though there’s no confirmation at this stage. Parallel posts on social media claim she hasn’t been approached and will not participate, underscoring the uncertainty around her entry.

Himanshi came into national focus after Lt. Vinay Narwal was shot dead during the Pahalgam attack while the couple was on their honeymoon, an incident widely reported and mourned across the country. Elvish Yadav later mentioned in a vlog that the two had been college mates, noting they hadn’t been in touch since graduation.

As casting buzz intensifies, multiple entertainment outlets have floated possible names linked to the season, including Shailesh Lodha, Gurucharan Singh, Munmun Dutta, Lataa Saberwal, Faisal Shaikh (Mr. Faisu), Jannat Zubair, Purav Jha, and Apoorva Mukhija, though official confirmations remain pending. The season’s theme, teased as “Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar,” features a parliament-inspired format with housemates wielding decision-making power, and a premiere set for August 24 with Salman Khan returning as host.
