New Delhi: A man from Nagaland has become the centre of attention on social media after reportedly spending nearly rs 67,734 to send 150 Domino’s Farmhouse Cheese Burst pizzas and biscuit packets to protesters gathered at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Images of the food order and the bill quickly spread across social media, with many praising the gesture as an act of support from someone hundreds of kilometres away.
According to reports, the donor, has been publicly identified and encouraged people to, placed the order from Nagaland for delivery at the protest site in Delhi. Along with the pizzas, biscuit packets were also included so they could be distributed among protesters and volunteers present at Jantar Mantar.
The order reportedly cost around rs 73,000, making it one of the biggest food deliveries to the protest venue in recent days. As screenshots of the receipt went viral, social media users described the move as a thoughtful way to support people participating in the demonstration without being physically present.
The pizza delivery is part of a growing wave of public support for protesters at Jantar Mantar. Over the past few days, food deliveries from different parts of the country have continued to arrive at the venue. Volunteers have received pizzas, burgers, rice meals, snacks, water bottles and other essentials ordered by people who wanted to contribute remotely.
Many of these deliveries have come with simple instructions asking delivery partners to hand the food to anyone at the protest site who needed a meal. Volunteers have been coordinating the distribution to ensure the supplies reach as many people as possible.
