Vadodara : The Vadodara Collector’s office has received a threatening email about bombing. The email states, Evacuate the office by 1 o’clock, or we will blow it up with a bomb. Entry of applicants has been restricted at the Vadodara Collector’s office and checking is currently being carried out throughout the entire Collector’s office. On December 18, schools in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Kalol and other areas received emails threatening to blow them up at 1:11. And today, the Vadodara Collector’s office has received a threatening email about bombing at 1 o’clock.
DCP Manjita Vanzara said that as soon as the mail was received, all police teams reached the Collector’s office. Checking was done inside and outside the Collector’s office but no suspicious items were found. A threatening mail was received early morning at 6 AM. Yesterday, prominent schools in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Kalol and other areas received threatening emails causing widespread panic. After investigation, no suspicious items were found. Even then during the investigation, no suspicious items were found in the collector’s office, bringing relief to the administration. Though checking continues around the office premises.
Several schools in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Kalol have received bomb threat emails, triggering a major security alert. Around 19 schools, including Zebar, Zydus, Agrasen and DAV International School, received threatening emails warning of bomb explosions on Wednesday. Following the threats, immediate searches were launched on school premises. Police, fire brigade teams and bomb disposal squads rushed to the schools and began thorough inspections as a precautionary measure.
Notably, well-known schools located in Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Lok Sabha constituency were among those targeted. The email sent to the schools mentioned a threat to carry out bomb blasts at 1:11 pm. The message reportedly contained the phrase “Ahmedabad blast school se Sabarmati jail tak” and also included threats targeting Home Minister Amit Shah and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Meanwhile, as a precautionary step, some schools in Ahmedabad that did not receive direct threats also sent students home. Afternoon shifts in several schools were cancelled to ensure the safety of students and staff while security checks continue.
