Over 100 Hostages Taken as Baloch Liberation Army Hijacks Jaffar Express Train in Pakistan

Balochistan: Terrorists opened fire on a passenger train in southwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, injuring the train driver and causing ruckus among the passengers.
The attack occurred as the train, which was travelling from Quetta in the southwestern province of Baloshcistan to Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, came under fire. The authorities are yet to provide details on the extent of the damage or whether additional injuries were reported among passengers.
The Baloch Liberation Army is a militant separatist group, which has claimed the responsibility for the hijacking of the passenger train. Tha BLA also claimed to have taken hostages from the train, including the security personnel. Over 40 passengers are said to be on board. Pakistani security forces are heading towards the area. The group stated” Our freedom fighters have blown up the railway track, forcing the Jaffar Express to come to a halt. The fighters swiftly took control of the train, holding all passengers hostage, if the occupying forces attempt an military operation, the consequences will be severe. All hundreds of hostages will be executed , and the responsibility for this bloodshed will lie solely with the occupying forces. So far, six military personnel have been killed, and hundreds of passengers remain under BLA custody”.
