Lucknow : A disturbing case from Lucknow has left many people shocked and concerned about patients safety inside the hospitals. A private hospital doctor was arrested after a Class 12 student accused him of sexually assaulting her inside an operation theatre after allegedly giving her a sedative injection during treatment.
The girl told her family that she began losing consciousness after the injection and later alleged the assault happened while she was semi conscious. Her family immediately filed a police complaint, following which the doctor was arrested and an investigation was launched.
The incident has sparked anger and fear because hospitals are places where people expect care and protection. Many are now questioning patient safety, especially for women and minors during medical procedures.
The case has also started a wider conversation about medical ethics, stricter monitoring inside hospitals, and the need for stroner, systems to protect vulnerable patients. Authorities have reportedly sealed the hospital and action against the doctor’s licence is underway as the investigation continues.
