CJP’s Abhijeet Dipke Mocks PM Modi : ‘You Should Become An Influencer’

New Delhi : Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Wednesday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting that he should give up the country’s top political position and become a social media influencer instead. Speaking to reporters after returning to his hometown in Maharashtra following the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Dipke said Modi appeared more suited to the role of an influencer and should step aside so that another leader could take charge of running the country.

“Prime Minister Modi should now become an influencer. He is doing a good job as an influencer. He should vacate the Prime Minister’s chair so that another leader can handle that responsibility,” Dipke said when asked about the Prime Minister’s social media videos addressing students. The CJP founder also alleged that student protesters were still facing harassment even after the agitation had been called off. He accused state governments of continuing to target those who took part in the demonstrations.

Dipke maintained that the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan had not eased public anger, saying the protesters’ frustration was directed at the government rather than just the Education Minister. “The anger of the protesters has not disappeared simply because the Union Minister resigned; it was directed at the government,” he said, questioning why the BJP had failed to understand the concerns of the country’s youth.

“These students are not terrorists. They are the future of our country. If the government continues to trouble them, then, just as Dharmendra Pradhan had to step down, we will work to change the government if it does not act,” Dipke said. He added that any future agitation could be organised on a much larger scale. Dipke also demanded strict action against those responsible for the alleged use of pellet guns against students during the CJP demonstration at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.

Addressing criticism over celebrations by CJP supporters following Pradhan’s resignation on Saturday, Dipke defended the protesters, pointing to the difficult conditions in which they had demonstrated for 36 days. “The volunteers sat in the scorching heat and rain for 36 days. Why should they not celebrate after achieving such a major victory? What does the BJP do after winning elections? Our volunteers did not block roads like BJP workers do,” he said.
