Bhaiyyaji Joshi Clarifies On Marathi Language, ‘My Statement Was Misrepresented’

Political uproar has started in Maharashtra over the statement made by RSS leader Bhaiyyaji Joshi on Marathi language. Bhaiyyaji Joshi clarified on Thursday that there was a misunderstanding about his statement made in Ghatkopar, Mumbai on Wednesday. Undoubtely Marathi is a language of Maharashtra, my statement was misrepresented. Every state has its own identity.
Bhaiyyaji Joshi said India is divided into different languages, but people coming to Maharashtra are expected to learn Marathi. I myself Marathi speaker. Marathi is also my mother tongue. I respect Marathi language. Marathi language is a language of pride and honor. I do not want to say anything about the politics that is going on at the moment on my statement. It is not my subject.
