Chennai : AIADMK leader and former minister Thangamani criticised the DMK-led Tamil Nadu government for failing to attract Google’s investment to the state during the assembly. Despite Google CEO Sundar Pichai being a Tamil, Google has gone to Andhra Pradesh and not Tamil Nadu, he said.
Foxconn has many branches and departments. One of them has said they aren’t investing in Tamil Nadu. It doesn’t mean Foxconn investment itself is false, he added. Raaja denied claims that the government made no efforts to bring Google to Tamil Nadu, saying, there are many aspects involved, and I don’t want to discuss them here. He also highlighted that 14,000 engineering jobs were generated under the DMK government and urged parties to stop ridiculing ongoing efforts, emphasising that youngsters’ livelihoods depend on these MOUs.
The Oppostion Janata Dal (Secular) (JDS) slammed Karnataka’s Congress-led government, citing Bengaluru’s infrastructure issues, including poor roads and water supply pushing businesses away from the city due to government negligence.
