Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Smashes 175 In U19 World Cup Final, Breaks Multiple Records Against England

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi produced a sensational performance in the U19 World Cup final on Friday (Feb 6), smashing a blistering 175 against England at the Harare Sports Club in Harare. The young Indian batter reached his century in just 58 balls before dismantling record books in the summit clash. Sooryavanshi became the youngest player to score a hundred in the final and now holds the record for the highest individual score in a U19 World Cup final.

Sooryavanshi wreaks havoc

Already making waves in IPL 2025, Sooryavanshi had established himself as one of Indian cricket’s brightest prospects and delivered on that promise. The 14-year-old, who turns 15 in March, dominated proceedings with strokeplay across the ground, hammering 15 sixes and 15 fours in his explosive innings. He raced to 175 off just 80 deliveries at a strike rate exceeding 200. Remarkably, 150 of his runs came through boundaries alone, another new record.
