Sharma-Yadav Masterclass Propels Mumbai Indians to Dominant Victory Over Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025

Mumbai Indians delivered a commanding performance as Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav dismantled Chennai Super Kings’ bowling attack, securing a decisive 9-wicket triumph by chasing down 177 runs with 26 balls to spare.

The Chennai batting effort was anchored by Shivam Dube’s much-anticipated half-century, complemented by Ravindra Jadeja’s equally significant fifty, helping CSK reach 176/5 in their allotted 20 overs. CSK debutant Ayush Mhatre made an immediate impact with a quick-fire 32 off just 15 deliveries during the powerplay, providing early momentum before the innings temporarily lost steam in the middle overs before recovering later. Former captain MS Dhoni had a forgettable outing, managing only 4 runs before falling to Jasprit Bumrah, who finished with 2 wickets.
