Mumbai : A video circulating widely on social media captures Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma addressing parents at Mumbai Airport after accidentally colliding with their young daughter.
The incident took place on Wednesday as Sharma, the accomplished opening batsman, arrived at the airport to travel to Vadodara ahead of India’s upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand, commencing January 11.
As Sharma exited his vehicle and proceeded toward the terminal entrance in a crowded area, he bumped into the small girl who was standing in his path. Demonstrating immediate concern, he paused, gently held her hands, and scanned the surroundings to locate her guardians.
Once the child was secure, Sharma approached the parents and expressed his disapproval of their oversight. He stated, “Aise bachhe ko beech mein mat lao, kya kar rahe ho yaar, galat karte ho yaar,” emphasizing the dangers of allowing young children to wander unattended in bustling public spaces such as airports.
