Now India’s Men’s Team Set to Take on Australia Today

Melbourne: After the Indian women’s ODI team crushed Australia in a thrilling World Cup semifinal in Navi Mumbai last night to storm into the final, it’s now the men’s T20 team’s turn to take on Australia. The match will be played today at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), where Team India will look to clinch a 1–0 lead in the five-match series. The first match in Canberra was washed out due to rain.
In front of a crowd of 90,000 spectators, Suryakumar Yadav and his men will face Mitchell Marsh and company in the second T20, starting at 1:45 p.m. (toss at 1:15 p.m.). However, rain is once again expected to threaten the game.
T20 Returns to Melbourne After Three Years
This will be the first T20 match at Melbourne in three years. The last one was the 2022 T20 World Cup final, where England defeated Pakistan in the 19th over.

India’s Strong Record at Melbourne
History favors India at this venue — out of six T20 internationals played here, India has won four. Captain Suryakumar Yadav has regained his form, and fans are hopeful the team will maintain that winning tradition at the world’s second-largest cricket stadium.
