Dubai: It has been learned that the ICC has instructed the Bangladesh Cricket Board to inform its government that if Bangladesh does not send its players to India for the upcoming T20 World Cup league matches scheduled in February, the team will be removed from the tournament.
In that case, another team will be given the opportunity to participate in the World Cup in Bangladesh’s place.
Bangladesh has been given one more day to take a final decision. Voting was held on this issue during an ICC meeting, where a majority of board members (13-2) supported allowing another country to replace Bangladesh if it refuses to tour India. Except, Bangladesh and Pakistan, all voted in favour of Icc’s view.
